Ron Hunt is the new Freestone Medical Center Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective January 15, 2018. This change in executive leadership was announced upon the resignation of Stace Holland, who had served as CEO of the hospital for one year.

Hunt will serve concurrently as Interim CEO and CFO, until such time as another Interim CEO can be identified. A seasoned healthcare executive, Hunt has experience as a hospital CEO with Community Hospital Consulting (CHC Consulting), as well as with other organizations. Freestone Medical Center is managed by CHC Consulting, the management and consulting arm of Community Hospital Corporation of Plano, Texas.

Hunt joined Freestone Medical Center first as Interim CFO early in 2017 until his role became permanent in May 2017. During his tenure, he created the finance department, developed staff and has steered the hospital in meeting its financial goals. He will continue in close collaboration with CHC and the Freestone Governing Board.

“We are proud of the progress in preserving and improving healthcare services for the people we serve,” said Fairfield Hospital District President George Robinson. “Patient care remains our top priority for our neighbors in Freestone County and surrounding communities.”
