Top Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I need price information?
People deserve to know how much a procedure costs before they decide to have it. We recognize more people have high deductible health plans or health savings accounts and they have direct responsibility for their health care costs. Also, as the number of uninsured individuals continues to increase people need to know how much their care will cost.
Please note your final bill from Freestone Medical Center will vary depending on the actual services provided, existing health conditions that may impact the procedure and your insurance coverage if you are insured.
Is the amount I owe the same if I have health insurance?
The amount you owe depends on the benefits of your insurance plan. If you have health insurance, you should contact your insurance company directly to understand what your financial obligation will be.
Please note the amount you owe may vary due to circumstances such as:
- Additional testing, medications, services or procedures ordered
- The procedure planned may not be the procedure performed based on your physician’s assessment
- Pre-existing health factors such as obesity, diabetes or smoking may impact your medical needs
- If you have insurance, the type of insurance you have, your deductibles, coinsurance or out-of-pocket limits will determine your final Freestone Medical Health bill
What bills will I receive in addition to hospital charges?
In addition to your hospital charges, you may receive other bills for physician’s fees from your surgeon, anesthesiologist or other medical services. Please contact those offices directly for price information.
Are prices for Laboratory tests and Radiology procedures also estimated?
No. Prices for these procedures are fixed rates and are revised annually on July 1. However, the price provided does not include bills for physician’s fees from your surgeon, anesthesiologist or other professional services. They will bill you separately for their services.
